M2M Datasmart is developing at simple.  Developers of innovative new M2M products often need to test their prototypes on live networks, but for relatively short periods of time. The number of units under test may vary from as little as one or two, to a field trial involving hundreds of devices. What is common to all these evaluations is the need to have simple access to a reliable cellular network - for the period and for the traffic load during the timeframe with which they are testing.  As a wireless 'Cellular as a Service' (CaaS) provider, M2M DataSmart is focused exclusively on the provision of wholesale data services for the M2M market.

Unlike a ‘traditional’ cellular operator, M2M DataSmart has implemented systems and services specifically for the M2M data customer – from Module Development Accounts to simple activation practices to commercial service delivery.  The DataSmart network extends throughout the US, and seamlessly utilizes the ‘footprint’ of its cellular partner - Sprint. Its  services include EVDO Rev A, EVDO, and 1xRTT data services. 

M2M DataSmart provides a simple airtime offering for this M2M developer market. The service has been designed to meet the needs expressed by many developers.  These needs are that they do not have a simple, easy and cost efficient way to test their products through the development cycle. Currently, their alternatives are to purchase ‘retail’ packages from existing cellular operators, which may have onerous termination costs, complex processes for activation and little-to-no technical or development support. The Datasmart program allows the OEM provider to manage a focused and compelling evaluation program that can be initiated from Day One. As a pre-paid airtime service offering, every M2M developer can leverage a true vehicle for evaluating and testing their product in a timely manner at a controlled cost with a trusted partner in M2M Datasmart.

The simple elements of the Datasmart platform include 90 days of access, inclusive of 5MB of CDMA data service, anywhere in the US (subject to network coverage availability). The price for each service bundle is $99.00 - billed as a pre-paid service (via major credit card). 

Web-based activation

Using our Web based activation portal - the developer can start the 90 day activation period on demand, can reload the account for more data or time and can monitor the amount of data usage has occurred as well as access to M2M DataSmart specialized Technical Support. 

More than Airtime

The customer is notified automatically when they reach 80% of either their usage or time, whichever comes first, to ensure evaluations proceed smoothly. The developer can buy another bundle only if needed at that time.

Approved Device Information

Devices are continually being approved by Sprint.  Please contact us with inquiries regarding if a device is certified by the carrier.  If you need assistance in getting your device certified, M2M Datasmart we will be glad to sponsor our partners/customer and assist them through the process of getting a cellular data device into and approved by the Sprint certification process.
